In addition to working with individuals, Maija now has ongoing corporate clients, the largest being The Nelson-Atkins Museum of Art. Matt Smith, Senior Exhibition Designer, a friend and former colleague, now works in the Nelson Design Division. Matt contacted her and asked if she would be interested in working one-on-one with the employees in the Design Division and also in their common areas to help merge processes and create a smoother workflow. This department is responsible for the design and installation of each gallery and exhibition at the museum as well as developing the graphic identity and collateral for the museum and its numerous exhibitions, events and fundraisers. Maija started there in January, 2016 and has found it to be a great place to work because she has met very interesting people, many of whom have been there a long time and are very passionate about their work.
